  5. This document describes the contents of the Extras folder located
  6. in the Outlook Express 5 Folder.
  7.  
  8. More Sound Sets
  9. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  10. This folder contains an additional sound set that you can use in
  11. Outlook Express 5. Clixsounds (http://www.clixsounds.com) designed
  12. this sound set especially for Microsoft customers.

  14. >>>To install the Clixsounds sound set:

  16. 1. Open the Sound Sets folder on your hard disk. You can find this
  17.    folder in either the Outlook Express 5 Folder or the Microsoft
  18.    User Data folder in the Documents folder, depending on your
  19.    operating system settings.
  20. 2. Open the More Sound Sets folder in the Extras folder.
  21. 3. Copy the Clixsounds sound set file to the Sound Sets folder you
  22.    opened in step 1.
  23. 4. Start Outlook Express.
  24. 5. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  25. 6. Click the Notification Tab
  26. 7. Under Sounds, click Clixsounds on the Sound Set pop-up menu.

  28. Palm Sync
  29. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  30. The Palm Sync folder contains an installer for the Palm
  31. Synchronization feature in Outlook Express 5, and a SimpleText
  32. file that explains how to install the Palm Synchronization
  33. feature. The Palm Synchronization feature lets you synchronize, or
  34. transfer, information between your Outlook Express 5 and 3Com Palm
  35. Organizer address books. For information about installing the Palm
  36. Synchronization feature, see the About Palm Sync Installer file
  37. located in the Palm Sync folder.

  39. Upgrade to Mac OS 9 Multi User
  40. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  41. The Upgrade to Mac OS 9 Multi User applet allows you to easily
  42. upgrade Outlook Express 5 so that it is compatible with the Multi
  43. User feature in Macintosh OS 9. For more information about this
  44. applet, see section 2.2 of the Read Me file located in the Outlook
  45. Express 5 Folder.

  47. Word 98 Mail Merge Updater
  48. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  49. The Word 98 Mail Merge Updater enables you to use your Microsoft
  50. Outlook Express 5 contacts as a data source for a Microsoft Word
  51. 98 mail merge.

  53. NOTE:If you run the Word 98 Mail Merge Updater, you will no longer
  54. be able to use contacts currently stored in Outlook Express 4.5 
  55. as a data source for a Word 98 Mail Merge. To use Outlook Express
  56. 4.5 contacts as a data source for a Word 98 mail merge, import the
  57. contacts to Outlook Express 5 before performing a mail merge. For
  58. more information about importing contacts from Outlook Express 4.5
  59. to Outlook Express 5.0, see "Importing information from other
  60. programs" in Outlook Express 5 Help.

  62. zipIE & zOE icons
  63. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  64. This folder contains the zipIE and zOE icons, the Microsoft
  65. Outlook Express and Microsoft Internet Explorer cartoon mascots.
  66. The Iconfactory (http://www.iconfactory.com) created these icons
  67. especially for Microsoft customers. You can copy and paste these
  68. icons to any of your files or folders.
